Yes. Galt has some of the most interesting housing stock in Waterloo Region and we regularly renovate century homes there. We plan more carefully for older homes because the unknowns are greater, and surface those unknowns before they affect your budget mid-project.
You do not have to. When BB Carpentry manages your project as GC, we handle the full permit application with the City of Cambridge, coordinate all required inspections, and manage any revision requests from the building department.
Yes. Legal secondary suites in Cambridge require a building permit, OBC-compliant fire separation, minimum ceiling heights, egress windows, and typically a separate entrance. We manage the entire process including the permit application and all inspections.
We typically book 2 to 4 months in advance for full renovations and additions, and 6 to 10 weeks for focused remodels and carpentry work. That does not include the planning phase, which runs before construction begins.
